1993-1994 – Gregory M. Maxwell

Dr. Maxwell holds three degrees from Purdue University: B.S. Physics (1973), M.S. Nuclear Engineering (1977) and Ph.D. Mechanical Engineering (1984).  Prior to coming to Iowa, he worked for Union Carbide at the two facilities in Oak Ridge, Tennessee (1976-1979) and United Technologies – Carrier in Syracuse, New York (1984-1985).

Dr. Maxwell joined the Mechanical Engineering faculty at Iowa State in 1985.  His primary teaching and research interests are in the areas related to the HVAC industry. Since 1991 he has been involved with the Industrial Assessment Center, a DOE industrial energy efficiency program.  Dr. Maxwell has been the faculty advisor for the student chapter of ASHRAE since 1987. His is most proud of his former students who have gone on to do great things for the industry.
