Jason holds a BS in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University and is a licensed professional engineer with the state of Iowa. He worked for two consulting engineers in the Des Moines area for the first nine years of his career – KJWW and Brewer Engineering.  He joined with Hart-Hammer, Inc. in 2005 doing engineering sales until 2018. In 2018, Jason moved to Woodman Controls to develop business for this building automation systems contractor.

Along with Jeff Hammer and others, Jason has been actively involved in organizing the semi-annual Chapter golf outings since 2006.

He has served as webmaster for the Chapter since 2008, and has overseen major changes and updates to the Chapter website and electronic communications.

In 2009, Jason helped with the Region VI CRC in Des Moines by recording all notes as the Secretary.

2018 brought the CRC back to Des Moines and this time Jason Co-Chaired the Regional event with Corey Metzger.
