As founder of W.W. Stuart Co. (or Stuart Supply), which specialized in oil burners, Mr. Stuart was a prolific inventor. He was granted several patents in the 1940s and 1950s
for his inventions, including a wet wheel humidifier, flow control devices, and a “means for regulating air pressure in buildings”.
