1951-1952 – C.H. McGuiness

The name of C.H. McGuiness is well known in the Iowa HVAC industry. He founded the C.H. McGuiness Company, still located in Des Moines, but previously worked as a salesman for the Carbon Coal Company. He began installing boilers as a side job, with permission from the Carbon Coal Company, including a boiler in the Kirkwood Hotel in 1943. Around 1945 his boiler business, “Iowa Kol-Master Stokers”, became his primary focus. The name was changed to C.H. McGuiness Co. in 1950.
