Born in Slater, IA on August 11, 1892, C.W. Helstrom was the Vice President and Manager of Globe Machinery and Supply Company (East 1^st and Court Avenue) in Des Moines. He was a World War I veteran, and was active in a number of professional associations, including the American Society of Heating and Ventilating Engineers, the Iowa Engineering Society, and the Des Moines Engineers Club. Mr. Helstrom passed away on July 1, 1981.
